Annual Recycling Roundup
Safely dispose of household hazardous waste, electronics, propane canisters, tires, and more at Banff’s annual Recycling Roundup. This free event helps keep our community and environment safe by ensuring these materials are handled responsibly.
Date: Saturday, October 25, 2025
Time: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: Banff Fire Hall parking lot, Beaver Street
Who: For Banff residents only (proof of residency required)
What You Can Bring
Common items accepted at the Roundup.
Household Hazardous Waste
Paints, solvents, adhesives, roofing tar, chemicals, expired bear spray.
Electronics & Appliances
TVs, computers, laptops, phones, microwaves, toasters, vacuums.
Automotive & Garage
Used motor oil, filters, antifreeze, car batteries, tires.
Propane & Fuel Canisters
Single-use or refillable propane bottles and camp fuel canisters.

Banff Share & Repair Fair
Join the Town of Banff and the Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley at The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre for a fun, educational day promoting a circular economy in Banff. After a highly successful pilot event last year, we’re excited to keep the momentum going as a community.

What is a Share & Repair Fair?
A free community event that promotes circular economy and waste reduction through repair, share and reuse services, hands-on workshops, and presentations. We aim to feature 10–20 local businesses and organizations contributing to reuse, repair, recycling, upcycling, and sharing across the Bow Valley.
Zero Wate Kits for Staff Accommodations
The Town of Banff provides low-cost kits to help your tenants move toward zero waste. The kits include:
- Kitchen catcher food waste bins – Free
- Stackable recycling bins for small spaces – $5 each
- How-To Guides, Educational Posters, and Downloadable Signage – Free with the purchase of any bin
